Students of St. John Junior College, Palghar donned their ‘Chef Caps’ to exhibit their Culinary Skills in ‘Cooking without fire’ competition. It was held on 16th November 2019 on the occassion of World Food Day celebrated on 9th October every year.
The students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious yet delectable delicacies recipes. Artefacts and food items displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style.
Dishes were judged on Nutrition, Taste, Presentation, Cost effectiveness, Cleanliness and innovative by esteemed judges Mr. Kunal Raut, Faculty, St. John College and Humanities and Science and Mrs. Suchita Gharat, HOD, St. John Junior College.
The judges interacted with the budding chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, nutritional value of the dishes prepared by them. Judges were overawed by the efforts of the participants.
The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision making skill but also helped them to explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
