On the occasion of World Photography Day which is observed on 19th August every year, St. John Junior College, Palghar had organised the Traditional Photo Look Competition, under the guidance of Miss. Apurva Patil, co-ordinator of the Cultural Committee.
Traditional Clothing is a symbol of National pride and adoration. When several people are dressed in the same traditional clothing, it evokes feelings of patriotism, cultural connectivity with one another and a sense of belonging to the nation.
The event began with a short speech on the importance of different traditional wear of India. The traditional look of students was expressed in the photographs through Power Point Presentation, to encourage the indigenous and local community youth. The photos displayed an array of colours that reflected the diversity of India. It was a moment of great joy and pride as we all stood united to celebrate the spirit of Indian Tradition.
