Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at St. John Junior College, Palghar, under the guidance of Miss. Apurva Patil, head of the Celebration Committee.
Mahatma Gandhi or more lovingly known as Bapu by all Indians is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led India to its glorious freedom. To revere this day, students held a special assembly to commemorate the Mahatma’s Life and Teaching.
The celebration began by giving tribute to the Father of our Nation by offering a garland and a lighting diya. Gandhian quotes and messages were given by students. The celebration concluded with the Cleanliness Campaign which was carried out by the students in the college campus.
All Students were inspired with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to become responsible citizens of India.
