The Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition was conducted on the occasion of Raksha Bandhanat St. John Junior College on Saturday, 6th August 2022. The competition was organised by Mrs. Chinmayi Churi.
‘Raksha Bandhan’ or ‘Rakhi’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
The event started with a warm welcome of Principal, judges, teachers & participants. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls, matchsticks, Peacock feathers, quilling strips, earbuds and flowers for making beautiful Eco-friendly Rakhis.
Their artisanship was quite fascinating and students thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side.
Students of XI& XII standard participated in the competition and made colourful Rakhis.The students were judged on the basis of Creativity, Neatness, Use of Eco Friendly Materials, Presentation, Overall Impression etc. It was a difficult task for judges to select winners. Students shared First, Second and Third ranks.
