International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June to raise awareness worldwide about the benefits of Yoga in daily life. Yoga brings balance between body, soul and mind. It helps us to understand the purpose of life and how to survive in the changing environment. The teachers of St. John Junior College performed Yoga between 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on 4th June 2022. Prayers were recited before the programme. Yoga started with Pranayama and meditation and different yoga postures like Trikonasana, Shashankasana, Bhujangasana and finally ended with Savasana.
Heartfelt thanks to our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi for giving an opportunity to celebrate the International Yoga Day. A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily, in both, the body and the mind.
Yoga postures, Pranayama and meditation are effective techniques to release stress, relax and rejuvenate the body and mind.
