Under the able leadership of all science faculties and principals, one day Inter-college Science Exhibition was organised on the theme “SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” by St. John Junior College on 18th January 2020 at the St. John Technical and Educational Campus, Palghar.
The students showcased static and working models which can be used for learning various scientific concepts for the children and teenagers. The judges for the competition comprised of Mr. Avinash Chavan, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering of St. John College of Engineering and Mr. Prashant Chaturvedi, Professor, Department of Pharmacy, St. John College of Pharmacy and Research.
Total 17 projects participated in the competition. The First Prize was bagged by ITI Mahim for the project title “Road Safety Model”, the second and the third prize went to St. John Junior College for the project title “Prototype of Rescue Capsule” and Jindal Vidya Mandir, Shahapur for the project title “Water the Cardle of Energy” respectively.
The Science Fest was co-ordinated by Ms. Ankita R. Hatkar, Faculty, St. John Junior College.
Overall the science exhibition was a grand success with 1999 visitors.
