The shloka recitation competition was conducted virtually on the occasion of Sanskrit Day at St. John Junior College on 5th September 2020. The programme was organized by Mrs. Chinmayi Churi.
The Programme was started by sharing few words on Sanskrit Day. The introductory speech was delivered by Mrs. Chinmayi Churi on Sanskrit Day. Ms. Khushi Soni, the Student from XII commerce gave significant information about Sanskrit Day.
Sanskrit is the language of shlokas, of spiritually empowered sounds. The usage of shloka is to bring our mind back to the consciousness.
In order to make children understand the importance of shlokas. The Students actively participated in this competition . They displayed great confidence as they chanted difficult shlokas with ease. Some shlokas were suggestive of morals and guidelines to smooth happy and peaceful life.
The students were judged on the basis of confidence, presentation, pronunciation, recitation etc.
The winners of sholka recitation competition are :-
Jain Shraddha (12th Commerce) Rank 1st .
Bari Ritesh (12th Science) Rank 2nd .
Pandey Abhishek & Kadam Tejaswini (12th Science) Rank 3rd .
The programme was concluded by Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Chinmayi Churi.
