Non-Violence Day was observed on 30th January 2021 in St. John Junior College. This day is observed on the occasion of death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Truth, nonviolence, Sarvodaya and Satyagraha are the four principles of Mahatma Gandhi.
On this day, the students of XI took an oath that they will not tolerate and commit non-violence in the neighbourhood and society.
Mrs. Suchita Gharat, Principal of St. John Junior College, acquainted students with the three forms of non-violence – Physical, Mental and Emotional. She told the gratefulness of Mahatma Gandhi through the stories. After oath taking, the atmosphere in the class was very calm, soothing and pleasant.
