8thMarch, is celebrated as International Women’s Day. This day brings many things for women –a cause for celebration, a
reason to pause and re-evaluate a remembrance, an inspiration and a time to honour, loved and admired. To honor
womanhood, St.John Junior College, Palghar celebrated the International Women’s Day on Tuesday, 22nd March,
2021.Students of Std XI from all streams were present for the programme. Dhruv Agarwal, a student of std XI Science
delivered a speech on the occasion of Women’s day; followed by a video on the history behind celebrating International
Women’s day. Another video was presented, highlighting the struggles every woman has to face and how the society can
come forward to help them, and hence can exhibit efficiently if given opportunity. It was an informative programme.
