International Girl Child Day-Poster Making Competition on “Save Girl Child”
The International Day of the Girl Child is observed on October 11 each year. Established by the United Nations in 2012, this day aims to highlight and address the challenges girls face worldwide and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their rights.
The day is an opportunity to:
Recognize the achievements of girls around the world.
Acknowledge the barriers they face, including discrimination, violence, and lack of access to education.
Promote initiatives that help girls thrive and contribute to society. So St.John Junior College organized a poster-making competition on Save Girl Child was conducted on 11/10/2024 by Mrs.Shreeya Patil.
Many Students actively participated in the competition. The students were judged by Mrs.Harsha Thakur on the basis of creativity, relevance to the theme, visual impact, and effectiveness in conveying the message.
