St. John Junior College – XII Commerce
An educational visit to the State Bank of India (SBI), Palghar East Branch was organized on 5th July 2026 for the students of XII Commerce. A total of 24 students participated in the visit under the guidance of Ms. Nippa Rajput and Ms. Vibhuti Kore. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to banking operations and help them understand the functioning of a commercial bank.
During the visit, the bank officials explained various banking services and demonstrated the day-to-day operations of the bank. Students gained valuable knowledge about opening savings and current accounts, cash deposits and withdrawals, cheque clearing, digital banking, internet banking, UPI transactions, ATM services, loans, fixed deposits, and customer service procedures. The officials also highlighted the importance of safe and secure digital banking practices.
The visit was highly interactive, allowing students to ask questions and understand how theoretical concepts learned in the classroom are applied in real-life banking. It also helped students develop financial awareness and provided insights into career opportunities in the banking sector.
The educational visit proved to be informative and enriching. The students returned with a better understanding of modern banking services and their practical applications. The college expresses its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of State Bank of India, Palghar East Branch, for their warm hospitality and valuable guidance, which made the visit a memorable learning experience.
