The St. John Junior College organized a Biology Diagram Drawing Competition to encourage students to develop scientific creativity, improve diagrammatic skills, and enhance conceptual understanding of biological structures. The activity aimed to promote visual learning and to assess students’ ability to represent biological concepts accurately and neatly.

Students from Class XII Science actively participated in the competition. A total of 34 students took part, showcasing enthusiasm and artistic skills.

  1. Competition Guidelines

Participants were instructed to:

  • Select any biological diagram from their syllabus.
  • Draw neatly using pencil and labels.
  • Maintain accuracy, proportion, and clarity.
  • Complete the diagram within the allotted time.

The diagrams were evaluated based on:

  • Correct labelling
  • Presentation
  • Creativity (if applicable)
  1. Overview of Activities

The competition began with a brief introduction by the teacher, explaining objectives and rules. Students were then allotted time to draw diagrams of their choice. Various diagrams such as the Female Reproductive System, Angiosperm ovule, Sperm, human heart, and others were drawn with dedication.

The classroom environment was focused and disciplined. Students demonstrated good conceptual understanding and artistic effort.

The winning entries were selected based on the judging criteria. The top performers were:

  • First Prize: Ummehannee Patel
  • Second Prize: Tarang Yadav
  • Third Prize: Diksha Jha
