On the occasion of Independence Day, St. John Junior College organized a Patriotic Song Singing Competition on 8th August in the XI Commerce class. The event aimed to instill the spirit of patriotism among students and to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our nation.

A total of 24 students participated, divided into 3 groups, each presenting melodious and soulful patriotic songs. The participants sang with great enthusiasm and energy, filling the atmosphere with national pride and devotion. Their performances reflected unity, love for the country, and respect for the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

The competition was judged on the basis of melody, synchronization, clarity, expression, and overall presentation. All three groups performed with dedication, making the event lively and memorable. The audience applauded enthusiastically, and the competition successfully evoked patriotic fervor among everyone present.

After careful evaluation, the results were declared as follows:

• XII Arts secured the First Prize for their powerful and well-coordinated performance.
• XI & XII Commerce won the Second Prize, impressing the judges with their harmony and presentation.
• XI Arts received the Third Prize for their energetic and heartfelt singing.

The principal and faculty members appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to uphold the values of unity and nationalism in their lives.

Overall, the competition was a grand success and served as a reminder of our duty and responsibility towards the nation.
